Welcome to our dojo
At Aikido and Hapkido of Hendersonville
we are dedicated to the practice of traditional Aikido and Hapkido in a
self defense format.
Our Dojo was founded by Master Dennis
Corn in Hendersonville in 1993.Corn Sensei who retired from everyday teaching
in 2002 is still involved in the Dojo and teaches on a limited basis as
well as overseeing the Hapkido testing.
Master Corn has been inducted into
the World Martial Arts Hall Of Fame and currently holds the ranks of 5th Dan in Hapkido, 2nd Dan in Aikido and 3rd Dan in Taekwondo.
The chief instructor of regular
classes is Darren (Shane) Norris. Norris Sensei holds the ranks of 1st
Dan in Aikido and 3rd Dan in Hapkido and has been chief instructor
since 2002. He is assisted by
Shane Lee Norris, 2nd Dan
Hapkido, and Sandy Norris 1st Dan
Hapkido.
Our affiliations in Both Aikido
and Hapkido are the best obtainable. We are members in good standing with
the United States Aikido Federation,The Korea Hapkido Federation, And The
Korean Martial Arts Instructors Association. We are also the founding dojo of
The North American Hapkido Federation
which was founded by Master Corn.
